Detailed Instructions for Downloading, Signing,
and Returning a Valid Petition

 

Please read these instructions first:

 

The printed petition MUST be an EXACT two-sided copy.

To print the petition, first, please make sure your printer paper is plain white paper (not yellow or another color) and a standard letter size (8.5 by 11, not legal or another size).

 

Please make sure your printer settings are to “actual size” not “shrink to fit” or scaled in any way. It should print at 100% the size of the document.

 

Please print the petition double sided. If your printer doesn't print double sided, then print page 1, and then re-insert the page in your printer and print page 2 on the other side. Please make sure that the reverse side is not “upside down” as it will be invalid.

 

Please do NOT print two separate pieces of paper and try to staple or tape them together. It will be invalid.

When you sign, please sign your name legibly, as you are registered to vote, at the physical street address where you’re registered to vote (No PO Boxes).

 

Please print your address legibly. If you reside in the city of Boston, make sure you include a zip code.

 

Please print the name of your town in the box at the bottom of the page that says “ONLY VOTERS OF _________________ MAY SIGN THIS SHEET.”

Please TURN IT IN TO YOUR MUNICIPALITY'S Clerk's office (town or city clerk, or elections commission at your local town or city hall). We will later pick yours up when we pick up all the others dropped off at local town and city clerks' offices.
